What is the difference between the performance of sandwich panels with metal cladding and PU-EPS core?

The main differences between the performance of Europanels panels with metal facings and PU core compared to EPS are due to the properties of the structural-insulation core used. Europanels panels with PU core, compared to EPS panels, have:

  • continuous core, which improves the aesthetics of the building and eliminates heat loss (no gaps, faults, rearrangements and other core discontinuities);
  • Better insulating properties (lower, that is, better heat transfer coefficient;
  • greater rigidity;
  • More interesting profiling patterns for facade cladding.

It should be remembered that panels with an EPS core, compared to PU panels, react differently to temperature factors associated with sunlight. Due to the thermal expansion of the cladding and the discontinuity of the core, one section of EPS board should not be longer than 7m. If a given dimension of the roof or wall slope exceeds 7m, connect EPS panels along their length using expansion joints.
